I feel they are complete idiots, and there is no hope for the human race.
It can get irritating alright. I try to remember that at least some of the time it is being done by people who for some reason must. As for the others, I wish they would stop.
Doesn’t bother me. In fact, it is sort of fun.
The way I figure it, if they are putting the other person on speaker, it is not only OK for me to listen, but it is OK for me to comment or add to the conversation – even if it is someone I don’t know.
After all, if they can be force me to be part of the conversation, the very least I can do is participate.
Whatever. I’ve got real problems to deal with.
It doesn’t bother me any more than any two people having a conversation. It’s two people talking, no more my business or concern than if both were present at the same location. Listening in and/or commenting is rude in either case.
Usually, I hate it. If they have a good reason for it, then that’s fine, I can deal with it.
What bothers me the most is when I am on speaker and I am not told. My husband did this a couple of times at work – idiot – and I am not editing what I say when I think I am only speaking to him.
Wasn’t aware I was meant to feel anything, like, at all.
I strongly dislike it. If you can’t give me your full attention during a conversation then call me back later, go finish putting your laundry away or banging your pots and pans around.
As long as it isn’t in the cinema or a restaurant or a similar place, and they’re not being overly loud, I really don’t care. Some people are more concerned about holding their phone to their head and I can understand that. It depends on the circumstances and other aspects of their behaviour and whether it’s one call or a stream of calls.
They annoy me. They are loud and it’s not always easy to understand what the other person is saying. I never use a speakerphone and I hate it when someone has me on speakerphone, especially without my permission. I want to speak with you, not with everyone in your vicinity.
Overhearing a conversation on speakerphone is not quite the same as overhearing a conversation with people next to you, imo. To me it sounds like a person having a conversation with a megaphone. annoying
If there’s no reason for it and it’s louder than a conversation between two people should be, I’d probably be annoyed. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone do this, so I can’t say for sure. It doesn’t take much for people to annoy me.
Doesn’t really bother me.
