Is the illuminati real?

There have been secret societies around since forever. I’d say yes. But likely it doesn’t look like our imaginations make it out to be.

Yeah, thats what I think. IF there is an illuminati they obviously keep it more secret then the atrocity right now.

First, I thought you had to be 13 to use this site.

Second, there probably is something LIKE the Illuminati, but hidden. Like the Illuminati is the public face that shows up in movies, but there is something deeper that shares the same goals.

But – this is to the good. An organization that is in favor of intellectual achievement, rationality, with a goal of scientific enlightenment is a GOOD thing, because it is a counter to the irrationality of religion. If the Illuminati or something similar exists, they have my support.

To be honest I know the 13 thing would come up XD.
Second, you had the same thoughts as I. Almost everyone knows about this ‘Illuminati’. My thoughts were there was something like it but we just truly don’t know what it really is.
Third, I don’t really get the benefits could I have an explanation?

People cling to stuff like the Illuminati myth because the truth is more frighting. There are no secret societies controlling the world. There are no grand conspiracies behind every awful event. The truth is that the world is chaos.

No, they do not exist, which is exactly what they want you to believe.

So let me get this straight, there is no secret societies at all and the world is just.. Chaos? So your saying the government doesn’t hide information from us at all? I also learned that Illuminati was made in 1776. Ok then lots of information to grasp there. But now I wonder… WHAT IS TRUE!!

Conspiracy theories are fun when you’re 12. But if you still believe in them when you’re an adult, people will think you are a few cards short of a deck. Take from that what you will.

Why do you find that less likely than a grand conspiracy? Perhaps you don’t find it less likely, only less desirable. Like… it would be comforting to think someone was “in charge” of things. But wanting there to be order doesn’t make it spring into being. The world is the way it is, regardless of what we want it to be.

To be honest dappled, what I thought you perceived exactly. Its actually nice there being order then chaos in my mind anyways. But, honestly it isn’t to far fetched isn’t it? You can dream I guess.

Conspiracies exist. Period.

Anytime two or more people make and or implement a plan they have conspired.

“Illuminati” is basically a word used to top an online thread about conspiracy theories.
