If I buy and download apps from the App Store, can I put them on my new iPhone when I get it tomorrow?

Yes. I downloaded a few apps before I updated my iphone. When it was done updating, it syncs it all over. So I’m sure it would work the same way with a new phone (well minus the updating, of course!).

I believe they work the same as purchased songs. So it should work. They are wrapped in Fairplay (the DRM Apple uses for songs) so you should be OK.

Nobody knows for certain right now so take what I wrote above with a grain of salt.

Alright, well I’ll only download free apps for now, but tomorrow, Super Monkey Ball here I come!

The new apps are awesome, I’ve been enjoying having REAL AOL instant messenger on my phone all day

How do you get them on your phone?

get Itunes 7.7 and install the new version of the iphone software as well http://tinyurl.com/59k5rg…

but really, it’s all on the internet… http://gizmodo.com or macrumors should be able to tell you how step by step

Once you download them on your iPhone you should then sync it with iTunes so when you plug in your iPhone 3G it will carry the same Apps as your iPhone.
