Tthe Diving Bell and the Butterfly scared the crap out of me last night. And it’s a true story.
the descent, that one made me jump, a lot! also the mothman prophecies, I really, really got scared :S
People Under the Stairs freaked me out when it came out. And Creep Show was freaky with the Father’s Day story…“I Want My Father’s Day Cake!!!!!”
as a side note….my wife found a cool game on m&m’s website where you have to identify 50 horror movies in a painting. it’s pretty challenging if you aren’t a horror movie buff…sorry if this post seems like spam

@ccatron I saw that game before. It was fun! thanks for posting it!
You don’t have this conversation without mentioning Alien.
People yell at me all the time for this.. but The Blair Witch Project was the only movie that ever REALLY scared me
@Fallstand My daughter was creeped out by that one also!
@ccatron damn that game was hard.I dont watch horror movies so thats probably why. I had to get Allies help over in chat to finish. Some of them though didnt belong in there, like butterfly effect COME ON THATS NOT HORROR.
House of 1000 corpses. I’m usually not affected by scary movies but this one kept me up at night.
Of course, the scariest of all time is the original Halloween.
The Hand..have anyone seen this?
It is about a hand from a murderer? It was chopped off and it travels around town by crawling on the street and jumping on people, and still kills.
One day the other month, a neighbor friend had his hand up high over the fence ever so still, he was over to help out with a backyard project, while hubby and I were talking and distracted. I screamed out loud thinking about the movie “the hand” lol we all laughed about it afterwards about my being spooked! My hubby was freaked out by my screams, which I rarely do!
None of ‘em. I hare scary movies. They make me mad and of course scare me. How can people enjoy the pain and discomfort of others? It really creeps me out.
@Jill_E I remember The Hand. There were parts that seemed so ridiculous to me, I laughed out loud. I think it was the microwave scene, but it was a long time ago.
When I was a kid I saw the Shining and Jaws and both scared the hell out of me. When you’re 10 and that is the first time you see somebody homicidal or a shark eat somebody, terrifying. Recently the Ring and the Grudge as both were complety unexpected with their twists.
Pet cemetery, remember the creepy looking sister in the bed crying out!
The Shining (with Jack Nicholson) is scary.
The Haunting. The original one, not the crap remake from the late 90s.
Event Horizon was really scary when I was younger. It scared me enough not to watch it again. The Ring was scary, and maybe even more the Japanese Ringu that it was based on. I also enjoyed Final Destination, and its sequel(haven’t seen 3). The Shining I think it an excellent movie that is supremely creepy. The Descent it also a well done one.
Jason X is sci-fi-ish but not that scary, just violent. 28 Days Later is a good zombie movie. Resident Evil is also decent in that category.
My problem with Blair Witch was that there was nothing to be scared of.
REC. Give it a go, really really scary movie. It’s in spanish though. Even still it’s a fantastic movie.
