What ever happened to sitcom the winner of the first Last Comic Standing was supposed to get?

I didn’t here anything about it. Not that it would be good or anything.

The winner was Dat Phan. A sitcom was never picked up. Instead, he has appeared in numerous shows and is currently doing a country wide tour. Preproduction on a movie he will be in called, Yellow Fever, has started.
