How do I get my otherwise hypercool older brother in law to stop wearing his Bluetooth earset constantly?

Asked by SecondHandStoke (9522points) November 25th, 2014

Fritz.

What a dude.

Totally about who you know.

Got his Mercedes Benz by trading a certain number of cases of a certain wine he had.

Totally easygoing. He lives in a stress vacuum.

But he wears his Bluetoothway too much. Such items should be like neckties. Take it all the way off if you’re not using it.

It makes him look a tool, which I know he totally isn’t.

How do I get him to stop without offending him?

Fritz, you look like a tool.
Send him that kind of message. Personally or not.

Apart from making a comment or two in a lighthearted way that lets him know what you think, I wouldn’t. It’s up to him if he wants to wear it.

@Earthbound_Misfit yeah, much better answer than mine.

Thank you @Adirondackwannabe. Yours is fine. In the end it will depend on @SecondHandStoke‘s personal style.

If everytime he uses it he listens to music then I’m objected to it. It can damage his ears.

Tell him whether he will put the earphone down or risk losing the ability to listen to music.

Tell him he’s cool because he has a peice of plastic on his ear. Bet he has a phone holster, too.

Why do you care?

@josie

Because this man deserves not not be seen making a faux pas.

I am with @josie so… if he wants to constantly wear the Bluetooth earset, that would be his business, it’s not harming anyone.

It is harming all the people that would experience his awesome lovemaking skills if he wasn’t looking like a twat.

I say it suits him, sounds like a right wanker.

He may not realize he looks like a tool, you could be doing him a favor by letting him know.

You don’t. His choice. Maybe he’s cool enough to not worry about whether some other people thinks he looks cool.
IMO, not caring about that is pretty cool.

My comment is similar to the one I made to this question.

Maybe he just likes the way it works and how he looks wearing it—it’s his business. And who knows, maybe there are some folks out there who really like the way he looks. ;-)
