Which part of your body can you not stand in the least to get cold?

Asked by Hypocrisy_Central (26879points) December 3rd, 2014

Myself, I am not afraid to say I cannot stand in the least for my ears to get cold. If someone wants me to venture out and I don’t have a cap or hoodie to keep the cold and wind off my ears, I am not going. Second to that is my fingers, I cannot stand to have cold numbing fingers. Then we go to toes, which is one reason no one will get me on a snow trip, have not found footwear yet that can keep my toes warm. The next is in there somewhere, I just haven’t figured out where yet. What part on your body that if it is cold, even not to the point of numbness, you still won’t go for it?

Ears and stomach.

My feet and toes. Since I’ve gotten older I feel the cold more so now I usually have to wear socks to bed in the winter.

Ears and my neck and oddly my bottom.

First hands. If blows my mind when I see people walking an jogging with bear hands when the temp is in the teens (degrees F). Then it is ENT (ears, nose and toes). When my ears get cold it goes right into my brain and that is very painful. It has brought me to my knees more the just a couple times.

My hands.

I can handle cold weather pretty well. A couple of weeks ago I was in Basalt, Colorado, and went for a run just aftertax sun had gone behind the ridge. What had been a nice warm 25 degree day dropped to the high teens, and I was wearing running tights and running gloves, but I was not at all prepared for how cold I got. My hands were so cold I was in deep pain.

And, when I’ve had to do an ice bath, my crotch. That was too much.

My butt.

I hate having a cold butt when I sit on a cold toilet seat during the winter, or when I accidently sit in a wet seat outside, or when I fall and land on my butt in the snow or on ice.

Ears and digits (fingers & toes).

I hate the cold and I just can’t cope with it at all if any part of me is cold. My hands and feet always get cold first.

My butt, because it reminds of the time I lost a bet and had to ski naked.

My penis, its like letting the air out of a bouncy castle & seeing the disappointment etched on children’s faces…hang on, that doesn’t sound quite right somehow.

I wear socks to bed in the winter. When my feet are cold, I can’t sleep. I will also often wear a scarf (dressy scarf) as part of my outfit in the winter. Dresses up my clothes and keeps me warm.

@jca: I recently made one of these and it has made all the difference. Mine’s not so fancy, just a dish towel with compartments filled with rice. I heat it in the microwave, then tuck it into bed, then my toes under it. It holds the heat for a long time. My feet are never cold at night anymore. It worked better than socks for me.

I don’t like to get cold anywhere, but I’m a New Englander – ¾ Yankee, in fact – so it’s in my heritage: I’m going to be getting cold. It ain’ no thang.

Any part of me…. fuck the cold.

talljasperman's avatar

@El_Cadejo I second your answer…. F the cold. I skipped school any day that the outside got colder than -5 Celsius.

My nose is always the first to get cold. But I absolutely cannot stand it when my thighs or my toes are cold. My husband sleeps with the fan on every night and he’s a blanket hog. I’ve taken to sleeping with an extra blanket.
