Need spiritual help.

Considering some views expressed on Fluther, this might be as good a place as any to seek answers. Unless you’re after some Wicca-specific expertise, which I’m not sure is represented on Fluther (might be, I just haven’t seen it yet).

How would a pagan or wiccan (?!) be able to help you any differently than anyone else?

@Knotmyday, no, that’s exactly my point. I don’t understand (given the explanation of “I am so screwed up right now I need other people to talk too. I just need an outlet that is something else besides my best friend.”) why a wiccan or pagan would be able to offer any more useful or empathetic advice than any other person, of any race or creed.

I agree with damien – at least kind of. I’m also a bit puzzled by what exactly it is that jtvoar is looking to talk to someone about and without knowing that, it’s hard to see why wicca or pagan rather than any old understanding person….

It does say she needs spiritual help. She wants someone who knows about her religion.

paganism is fairly wide concept…

Yeah, I’ve had a few drinks and so am struggling to make my point. I’m not saying a wiccan or pagan couldn’t help or would be any less useful than anyone else, I just don’t understand why a pagan or wiccan is being called for.

Couldn’t agree more. But that’s why I can’t understand logging onto a site which has potentially thousands of like-minded people and then asking for another resource.

I’ll stop now because I know I’m helping to lead this waaaay off subject and that debating this is absolutely no help to jtvoar16, but I guess I’m just trying to say (in some odd, drunken way) to jtvoar16 that there’s more people which will probably see things on his/her level than he/she might expect.

In specific cases, though, insight might be better gained from a less inclusive community.
While I’m not a subject-matter expert per se, I still know where to find people who are.

This site has lots of information. It asks that members be 18, though. There really are many options for you. Here is another.

I hate to point this out, but people come here looking for information and we often reply to answers with links to other places.. so how is this any different? :)

I don’t get what’s so hard to understand about wanting to talk spirituality or faith with other people who share your beliefs. I mean, there’s Christian everything! Christian dating services, debt consolidation, you name it, there’s a Christian whatever it is. I laugh sometimes because it seems a bit silly, but obviously there’s a real human desire to connect with people who believe what you do.

My point was not to discourage listing other resources, but to encourage him/her to post the question(s) in question here as the knowledge just might be within the collective somewhere…

@wildflower – I mean this with no snarkiness or anything, but the question was asking for Pagan/Wiccan resources (chatrooms and forums). I understand what you’re saying and you’re right in a sense, but it sounds like jtvoar16 just wants a place to talk about whatever spiritual issues have come up, in a space full of Pagan/Wiccan people. I completely understand this desire, so I think I also understand why they wouldn’t post their dilemma here, as you can’t control who answers, plus I’ve read moderators directing chat-like discussions here to the chatroom.

sorry for the dumb respounce. I was on my iPhone and didn’t have time to write a good response. I just wanted you guys to know your advice helped and the sites did too.

The problem is a very personal one and would rather not talk about it here, mainly because I have yet taken the time to read Fluther’s policies on stuff like this. I see flutter as the guy who refers you to the docter, not the docter.
