The best paying ones, or the most enjoyable. Let’s make a list. I’ll start: Cashier and stock clerk.

I’ve known a lot of people who made a lot of money selling products. Also people buying and selling real estate, and developers, who put up new buildings and sell them.

Don’t you need a real estate licence in the US? In Australia, you need a licence to sell real estate and builders definitely need to be licenced.

Someone working in an office doing general paperwork wouldn’t need a licence (other than a driving licence) in most fields but there are some where you’d expect they would be. Social workers, nurses, lawyers, accountants come to mind).

General sales people would quite possibly only need a driving licence. Those working in the building industry may be expected to be registered as a builder though (by their employer, not by the government).

@Earthbound_Misfit

You need a contractor’s license to construct buildings.

You need a real estate license to be a broker – a person between the buyer and seller.

The people I know pay licensed contractors and licensed brokers for their services.

They don’t have to be licensed just like you don’t have to be licensed to buy or sell your own home.
