If so, what do you listen to?
In my home the kitchen never changes from Country. I would prefer Classic Country but there is no such station locally.
At least 3 Classic Rock, no Country. Why IS that?
My car is set to NPR. When/if it goes into re-run, I have Classic Rock.
Hank and Patsy are not available.

Everyday when working and I listen cbc Canada.
I only ever listen to the radio in the car now. I used to listen to the radio often but now I tend to listen to music via a streaming account or my own CDs. I like to listen to a classic rock station. That’s about it really. I used to like listening to plays on the radio.
I listen to CBC daily, while cooking and doing dishes.
I listen to NPR in the kitchen and in my car – except during pledge drives.
No. It’s part of my father’s life. Everyday he listens to the local radio channels. And he turns his radio very loud. Things just enter my ears.
I listen to it in the car. I don’t have Sirius or XM. Just regular radio. Everything from morning drive-time stuff to classic rock to pop to R&B to disco to hip hop to NPR to independently owned, quirky stations.
I listen to NPR both at home and in the car, I love their news programs and the variety of music and other programming. I also love to listen to Classic Rock.
NPR in car, living room and computer room
I used to love love love The Howard Stern Show. Then when he went to Sirius I got it installed in my car, aftermarket The reception was awful, I contacted wrote letters to the CEO and one other person high up at Sirius and never got a response, therefore I cancelled. A lot of people dislike Stern but I found his viewpoints refreshing and his comedy hilarious. I loved when they did the news and they’d make jokes about celebs. I found the celebrity guests really funny and the interviews surprisingly intimate. The only part of his show that I found boring was when he had women on and he would tout their physical attributes.
Like many Fluthers, I listen to NPR every morning and often in the afternoon on our local University’s station and classical music in between at home. I also listen to this station in my car. When on trips, we listen to classical music and classic rock on Sirius.
I listen to the radio in the car. I drive about 4–5 days a week. I mostly listen to high energy dance music, with some pop, Spanish/Latin, classical and this time of year Xmas sprinkled in.
I listen to talk radio at times. If I get in the car after my husband he often leaves the radio on a station with talk radio. It’s a local team and mostly they are just funny. I don’t know their names. As far as political talk radio I used to listen to more if it, but now barely at all.
My radio goes on as soon as I wake up and I turn it off during dinner around 6:00. The radio is on all day as I go about my chores. no music though, talk radio.
I listen to: NPR, a local Adult alt rock (KFOG in San Francisco) and a local news radio station (no talk, just news). And when the kids are in the car they go through a whole bunch looking for a good song.
During baseball season I listen to KNBR – Home of the Giants.
NPR morning edition, all things considered, Terri gross, etc. The jazz and classical stations get some attention as well.
What @jca said in her first post, a collection of “whatever the hell” in my car. I don’t have it on in the house, I have virtually no reception in-house.
What I love about NPR is regaling my conservative friends with information from there As much supports their beliefs as contradicts them.
Yes. I love broadcast radio. I listen to it every time I drive and occasionally when I’m swimming or spending time outdoors. I’m the only person in the family who doesn’t prefer using a playlist from their phone. I like to hear new music and be surprised by a playlist from a radio station. I like the variety they offer. There are two local stations that I prefer and they both come from the local university. There’s nothing better than college radio, imo.
I was also a fan of Howard Stern. He was the only talk radio I could tolerate.
