Meniscus (from memory) the curve at the top of a column of mercury or water in a cylinder (such as the barrel of a thermometer or barometer), caused by the surface tension of the fluid and the hydrophobic quality of the surface of the cylinder.
Somebody else can do “hydrophobic”.
* You did ask for “cool”, and thermometer popped into my thoughts. That was just serendipitous.
Anhydrous – - contains no water.
ugsome = frightful, loathsome.
addled, found here with regularity ~~
flapdragon -an old game in which the players snatch raisins, plums, etc., out of burning brandy, and eat them.
Actually I never heard of it before, but it was word of the day on dictionary.com and I thought it odd enough I posted it here. Great game for the kiddies! lol
Schaudenfreude. The love of watching youtube failures and worlds dumbest whatever on tv.
^ “Schadenfreude”, actually. “Schaden” is “damage”, and “Freude” is “joy”.
Like watching some moron crush his testicles on a handrail he shouldn’t be trying to walk on. LOLOLOLOL
