My cordless phones, for the past few days, ring but I can’t hear anything from them. When they ring, I can “answer” them (stop the ringing by pressing the button) but not hear the caller and the caller can’t hear me. The caller ID does not work on them either. Their screens will indicate “incoming call” but no caller ID. The wall phone (corded) works fine.
I pushed in all the wires on the cordless phones to make sure everything is plugged in correctly, and it seems to be. Just the fact that they ring seems to indicate that they’re plugged in properly.
Can you please help me figure out what may be the issue?

@Pachy: Batteries have been replaced within past three months, and the phones are all charged regularly. Battery indicators all indicate power and all the phones ring.
Sounds like the cordless phone’s base unit isn’t transmitting properly.
Are there any NEW wireless items like; computer WiFi router, new neighbor with baby monitor, security system or home entertainment system. Sound like the signal if being over powered, ringing is a higher voltage/stronger signal.
Or what @filmfann ^^^^ said.
what model / manufacturer? I have Panasonics (base station and 3 remotes) and about once a year they need to be resynched to the base station.
I took @filmfann‘s advice and took a harder look at the base. I pushed all the wires in again and the power cord wasn’t pushed all the way in. When I did that, voila, phones working fine.
A big thank you to @filmfann!
@elbanditoroso: It’s a Panasonic, too. It has about 5 or 6 remotes, only 3 are out and charged. The others are in box for when these crap out. I have two chargers plugged in, so there are always two charging and one loose.
Thank you, all!
