Something new to cook?

Asked by marinelife (62485points) December 31st, 2014

I am looking for new recipes to try in 2015. Preferably, with meat and vegetables—no carbs (starches).

I like all types of cuisines.

Something fairly easy would be good too. Tonight, I’m trying Unstuffed Cabbage Rolls.

How about a chicken florentine bowtie pasta? You should DEFINITELY leave out the garlic though.

Maybe not new but…we’re having a mexican feast tonight with carnitas, tacos, chili and enchiladas. You could ring in the new year with some killer chili, loaded with red, yellow and orange bell peppers, onions, meat, garlic, oregano, chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin and chili, black and pinto beans with diced stewed tomatoes. I can;t wait for dinner tonight here. haha

@marinelife That sounds so yummy. I hope it has plenty of kard… ahem, I mean cardamom in it : )

Yum, green cardamom. It was spice too!

I made a deeelicious organic chicken linguica with yellow crookneck and zucchini squash and red, yellow, & orange pepper strips last night. Served over an olive oil, italian seasoning and garlic spaghetti toss. Rave reviews from friends. The linguica is a just spicey enough to really give the dish a nice zing.

You could eat it alone if you don;t want the carbs in the pasta.
