Is Fluther your passion?
Fluther is where I spend most of my waking hours. It is my life and my joy. How about you?

No. It’s just a place I stop by every once in a while.
Fluther is a habit. Photography is my passion.
Fluther is my joy, but it isn’t my life.
No, it’s my bitch & sometimes I like to “smack” her up.
It’s just a thing I do on the side. Not bashing the site by saying this, especially as I’ve had more involvement here in the past. But it’s become quite secondary to me, got other passions. I still enjoy being smacked by @ucme my time here though.
Not even a little bit. It’s just something to pass time when I’m bored.
I would describe it as (for me), a pleasure and a habit, but to describe something as a passion is pretty enthusiastic. I like Fluther a lot but the word passion is too much.
5 years back I would say I was pretty passionate about the tide pool full of really cool Jellies. We had raucous, fun, silly and provocative times back then and then one by one Jelly after Jelly left or in some cases were bullied out of the fold. Not pretty to witness and took away the luster of the “why” I first joined her. Fluther sadly is a mere shadow of the really good ol’ days and now just a place I come to express my thoughts and opinions. My Family, cooking, music, yoga, photography and ceramics are my passions.
Participating here, I wind up speculating as to how so many people manage to find so much time to dedicate to this place. So how many of us are bedridden paraplegics or confined in penitentiaries? Are we for the most part not socially adept? Am I hovering here for the same reasons I was once obsessed with chess? Which of us linger here to counter that urge to climb into a clock tower with a sniper rifle and scope? Does this very answer betray my derangement? Well enough of this idle speculation. Time to return to my REAL well of self fulfillment- the torturing and evisceration of small animals. But before unsheathing the implements, how about this? Perhaps fluther serves the same function as a neighborhood bar or tavern. There are dependable affable regulars “NORM!” There are the obnoxious know-it-alls. Yeah, yeah. That’s the ticket. I’m the CLIFF of fluther. Dazzled by my own insight, my work here is done.
That reminds me of some song or another by The Doors…
Of course. They stole it from me. That Morrison was particularly shifty. He managed to rob me of my talent as well as the slew of women that were rightfully mine!
No, it is not my passion and in fact, I have been spending less and less time on this site. I do enjoy sharing my ideas and opinions with others and enjoy reading other users comments and answers. It can get very interesting.
@prairierose: Why are you spending less and less time on Fluther?
@jca Because I am not really feeling the lurve.
Somebody gives @prairierose more lurves! (literally and figurarively)
@prairierose: I am hoping you’re not experiencing some bad vibes from this site.
@jca Perhaps I am. Or maybe I just haven’t settled in yet.
@prairierose: I am curious and concerned. Is it something specific or just a general feeling?
@jca PM me I will be glad to inform you.
I would agree with @jca more of a pleasing habit.
I do miss some of the more raucous spiffs from a couple of years back. It was nice to have a more diverse crowd.
Just sorry they all got miffed and moved on.
No. My grandkids are my passion.
Could you let me know too @prairierose? I really like you and I don’t want to see you go.
Isn’t it to be expected that the list of “regulars” anywhere would shift over time? Objectively, it would be difficult, if called on, to defend the inordinate amount of time we spend here and I can readily understand how our “best and brightest” might conclude that it’s high time to move on. I suspect that most of us here will face a particular day when so many of the questions here appear so exasperatingly inane that we throw up our hands and declare “ENOUGH!”
probably banned for being too nice and polite
What the… man, we’ve lost another potential jelly…
I think she was a former user with a new account.
Oh, and now I have a fear that we are about to lose another good jelly…
@jonsblond: I don’t think that’s correct. I can be wrong, of course.
