My favorites of his:

Terrific actor! The Birds, The Time Machine, Fate Is The Hunter. Vaya Con Dios!

Awwww, this makes me sad.RIP, Mr. Taylor.

He was a bit too much of a scenery chewer for my taste, but as a kid fascinated with the idea of time travel (I still am), I thought—and still think—he was pretty good in it. And lucky for him, everybody chewed scenery in that one.

I liked him in THE BIRDS (in which his over-acting contrasted perfectly with Tippi’s woodenness, and in the soapy HOTEL

His role in the time machine made me a huge fan of his…the Birds was very disturbing for a 7 year old to watch and seared his image and persona in my mind forever. R.I.P. Rod….you had a good ride my man!

Maybe he’ll return in The Time Machine with those mysterious 3 books he took to the future. Until then, Bon Voyage!

Aw, he was a good one. I had a crush on him in my teenage years during the 60s. The Glass-Bottom Boat. Sigh.
