I am looking into these services and would like to hear others experience with these ID theft protection services….the good, bad and the costs.

I do not. There seems to be a Catch 22 with that system. I have to give them all the info I want to protect and, quite frankly, I don’t trust them. The best way I’ve found to protect my credit card is to:
1) Limit use- pay cash for small purchases which limits exposure.
2) Use throwaway (single use) credit card numbers. They are issued for free by many banks.
3) Put a lock on the credit report – free.
.
Those identity theft services cost a chunk of change. You are not responsible for over a certain amount anyway if you have your card lost or stolen. As far as your identity, as in your Social Security number or other identifying numbers, once they’re out and stolen, they’re all over the world very quickly, so I think the services of any of these companies are negligible.
