Do you find this kid's ability and understanding pretty amazing?
This is video I took of Rick’s great grandson. He’s 21 months old. He grabbed his Mom’s phone, turned it on and proceeded to slide through the pages, tapping with both thumbs to get where he wanted to go, which was a game app. He knew what he was doing. He wasn’t being random.
Quality is crappy because it was dark and I only had interior lighting to work with.
It took me 4 hours to upload this to youtube so watch it, Janet damnit!

Sounds like he is a human-alien hybrid.
A very good thing.
He will be the vanguard of the new master race that will replace humanity.
Sharp kid. Now he faces the thorny task of living up to the expectations of others. Looks like he’s up to it.
He’s got some obstacles in his way already, but I’ll be tracking him. ;)
He spends a lot of time with Gramma, along with her two other kids. He’s more like one of her kids. Interestingly enough when he’s with Gramma he calls her “Mom.” When he’s with his Mom, he calls her “Mom,” and refers to Gramma by whatever name he has picked out for “Gramma.” “Mee maw,” or whatever.
He identifies the caretaker he’s with as Mom, but recognizes they are different entities.
Oh, and we were having Dakota “Play dead!” and rewarding her with potato chips. He got right into it, but didn’t make her do the trick before she got the reward. He’d say “Dead dog!” and shove a chip at her, which she would eat and not do the trick. LOL!
Maybe he spend so much time with the iPhone? I’ve seen lots of kids doing the same thing, at least in my family. The adults give them the phones to keep them quiet, and they play with them long enough to know what to do when they need something. They get used to them.
Yes, but not every kid can pick up on it like that.
Plenty can. Not particularly amazing, no.
In this day and age, it’s pretty common. I’ve seen kids use an iPhone before they could even sit up. Maybe 6 to 9 months? It’s crazy.
Not sure if it’s even a good thing.
