Are video resumes the best way to standout from competition with job opportunities? What are the pros/cons to this approach?

Im hoping to pitch the idea to my college, creating a program for students to receive assistance on creating the videos and dialogue to tape :)

One benefit would be the potential employers would not see your lack of proper capitalization, or use of “is” instead of “are”.
