Have you tried those yellowish night vision glasses and like them>?

Asked by Aster (20028points) January 21st, 2015

They allegedly cut all glare from headlights and seem to make things clearer at night and in bright sun. But I’m not sure it’s true. I found a pair of old sunglasses with the same color of lens (yellow) and wonder if they’re the same thing.

Those TV commercials are nonsense. I get angry every time I see them. They supposedly slide the glasses over the camera lens and Bam! clear as day. I call BS!
Those are merely yellow filters. They are not night vision.
Please don’t give those scam artists your money.

ok, @LuckyGuy. I came close.

Whew! You would have been very disappointed.

But if you act now you get a free second pair! Just add shipping and handling (which costs more than the glasses which should be really be called “plastics”)
Act today! Don’t Delay!

Cheap Shooting glasses will do the same thing.

I hate yellow lenses. They hurt my eyes. They do sort of brighten things up. I wouldn’t call them night vision though. They cause everything to not exactly be a glare, but to want to make me squint, so I would not say they cut down on glare for me per se. The polarized brown lenses can even be difficult for me. I think your yellow lenses are probably the same thing being advertized.

Thanks @JLeslie but the lens on mine are not bright yellow . They’re actually a gold color.
