Summerboard for 2.0?

Has anyone heard if there is going to be a theme generator for the App Store? I just updated my firmware to 2.0 and I’m waiting for a 2.0 jailbreak via ZiPhone, but I really miss summerboard and being able to change my theme.

Nope. I’m pretty sure Apple will keep it like it is for a while after the 2.0 just got released. Apps from the app store can’t change anything on the home screen like a plug-in would so you wouldn’t get it from the app store anyway. It would be a feature in a firmware update.

Apple probably won’t release anything like this- and there’s currently no Summerboard app on the App Store. And because of the rules of the App Store, Summerboard would likely not be allowed by Apple.

Whenever 2.0 is successfully jailbroken however (which should be any day now) I’m sure Summerboard will be back eventually. It all depends on how much Apple changed the phone’s OS under the hood.
