I don’t pay attention to the news much anymore. I feel much calmer having checked out a little from politics and crime.
I’m seeing that some things are heating up in the Middle East. What started it? Something with Iran and Israel and Lebanon?
Also, Jordan is going to trade a prisoner? Release a suicide bomber? What? What’s your opinion on that?
Thanks ahead of time to the collective for explaining and offering opinions.

No one is answering because what you are asking for would be voluminous.
Things have been “hot” in the Middle East for sometime (years), more so since last summer. What is happening this week is an extension of that continuing conflict.
The long and short of what is happening in the Middle East is that there are a small minority of people purporting to represent the majority making a Giant Cluster Fuck out of just about everything in the region. If the majority would wake up and tell the minority to cut it out, perhaps it might be easier on everyone involved.
I think that renowned late 20th century Texas philosopher, Kristoffer Kristofferson put it most succinctly when he said:
“Most of us hate anything that
We don’t understand
‘Cause everybody’s gotta have somebody to look down on
Who they can feel better than at any time they please
Someone doin’ somethin’ dirty decent folks can frown on
If you can’t find nobody else, then help yourself to me”

I’m just taking about the events in the last couple of weeks.
@zenvelo You’re right.
You must be referring to the increased news coverage in the past couple weeks, because these “events” have been going on long before we were all born.
Yes, the events being covered in the last few weeks. Something happened in Lebanon and some sort of trade being discussed with a suicide bomber being held in Jordan. I mentioned it in my details.
I’m Jewish, I’m very aware of the long history in the Middle East.
@JLeslie Jordan let the deadline for a prisoner swap pass, because it cannot be determined if the pilot held by ISIS is still alive.
@zenvelo Thanks. But, they would have done the swap otherwise? Do you agree with that sort of swap? Letting a suicide bomber go?
