We used to have a lot of fun with this, and I’m hoping we can again for a few days, at least.
I’ve been wondering how Randy Travis is doing lately so On the Other Hand.
When that sorta brought me down, I hit Happy and asked the question.
Links a plus.
Have fun.

Inexplicably, the alphabet song.
OMG…I JUST heard that old Chicago song…..” does anybody really know what time it is, does anybody really caaaaare…..” Aaaagh…make it stop!
The non-word parts of “Under Pressure” have been stuck in my head for a while now.
Going for an 11 mile walk in the warm sunshine while listening to a recored book.
Hey @gondwanalon gotta song for you….. Listen to the 500 miles one before you go and you will be set for your 11 mile jaunt.
An old song from the last 80’s by an obscure band… “Lover on a Rainy Day.” I asked Fluther about it some time ago.
Robin Hood and Little John walkin’ through the forest.
Laughing back and forth ‘bout what the other’n has to say.
Talkin’ this and this and that and having such a good time.
Oodilolly oodilolly, golly what a day.
It’s an earworm I caught from a commercial. From the Disney
animated Robin Hood.
Sung in a soothing, mid pitch, female voice “You’ve got mail!”
People, people who need people. It’s been in my head for a couple of days. I have the urge to do a Babs and belt it out. Unfortunately in comparison to Ms Streisand, I sound like a frog. So I’m resisting.
I can see how that might get caught in your head, @ARE_you_kidding_me. Reminds me of Ren and Stempy! Good times, good times.
Well, we were asked about educational songs recently, @thorninmud.
I like that Chicago song, @Coloma. lol
Um. Thanks for not linking, @dxs. lol
Good song, @ucme. I’m not familiar with the origin. Is that Robert Plant in the video?
My sympathies, @rojo, on the 500! ~
Song, @gondwanalon.
Still can’t help you, @linguaphile
I love that song, @rojo, but you might like your women like you like your chicken!
I don’t have commercials, @majorrich.
No clue, @Dutchess_III.
Not sure I’d be good waking to that, @syz, lol.
Turn it up and don’t sing too loud, @Earthbound_Misfit. :D
No, no, @dxs. I know the song! I appreciated you not sharing/link. lol ~
None today but yesterday it was the Hokey Pokey. Don’t ask me why. I have no idea.
And the Babs earworm has now been replaced with the Pussy Cat Dolls and Don’t cha.
Comprachicos by pendulum.
Ridiculously good. Been in my head for a few days really.
@ibstubro Yes it is Plant & two members of Duran Duran, a very brief alliance.
Found this song through 4chan on a webm lol, but it’s pretty catchy too. No clue what it means but it’s good lol
original Yeah it’s terrible but it made me laugh because I’m a terrible person.
Oh, I love Roger Miller, @majorrich. At least once a month I’ll play King of the Road in a loop in my head.
Hokey Pokey’s fun, @Judi. (I hope you weren’t caught doing it. lol)
Umm, Funny, @AshLeigh, but my life would be short if it was stuck in my head for long. :-)
Beautiful song, and new to me @DrasticDreamer. You must have had a mellow day.
Mood swings? @Earthbound_Misfit (I found #2 more entertaining.)
Comprachicos by pendulum Must be the musician in you, @XOIIO. Cool but too intense for me to maintain a loop.
Cool, @ucme. Never heard of it, even if it’s from my ‘era’. Thanks.
^ That’s one of my favourite pick-me-up songs @Kardamom. I defy anyone to listen to that and not want to get up and dance (or at least move in some way).
Today it’s RENT…
… let’s find a bar so dark we forget who we are, where the scars from all the nevers and maybes die…
@ibstubro Was just thinking about a particular moment of my life and how it went so horribly wrong, but how it’s going fantastically right again years later. :)
I can’t fucking stand that bastard Jagger song, makes me wanna dance about as much as a restaurant full of diners scratching their forks on their plates.
Well you can sit in the corner with your newkie brown and have a good whine. @Kardamom and I will be fine dancing on our own.
I wouldn’t be whining, how silly. It’s just a daft song, nowt to get worked up about.
I’d simply carry on conversations as usual & wait for something decent to be played.
Woke up, fell out of bed,
Dragged a comb across my head
Found my way downstairs and drank a cup,
Looking up I noticed I was late.
Found my coat and grabbed my hat
Made the bus in seconds flat
Found my way upstairs and had a smoke,
Somebody spoke and I went into a dream.
“All of my love, all of my love, oh, all of my love to you you YOU *YOU!” NO idea why. Just woke up with it in my head.
I’m perfectly chilled thanks & I didn’t try & refute anything, just gave my opinion that’s all.
I’m not responsible for translations of an otherwise harmful remark.
Enough of that nonsense, back to the question.
I usually don’t have songs stuck in my head, it’s movie themes that I get.
Today, it’s that below…quite appropriate really.
http://youtu.be/xi6XbwwbJ1g
“I’m gonna bust some tag, I got twenty dollars in my pocket” unintelligible part “this is __king awesome” heard it thundering through the car from a thunder car behind me at the stop light this morning. Which is, by the way, cold as can be thank you very much.
Smokey Joe’s Cafe This morning…...“Hey, be careful!! That chick belongs to Smokey Joe!”
Hey baby by deadmau5 will be in my head for a while, there is an instrumental version but the quality is just slightly muddy and the bass not as crisp (to be expected when people remove lyrics)
Been a while since I visited Loudon, @rojo. Thanks
One a’ these days these boots are gonna walk all over you…......
She’s probably gonna be somebodies baby tonight….
You know, I just realized that I seem to have a song in my head 24/7. 99% of the time I just don’t realize it unless I stop and think about it.
My husband introduced my daughter to Archie cartoons this morning. For some reason the Jughead theme song from 1968 got caught in my head.
“People fall in love in mysterious ways!”
I couldn’t take that for long, @keobooks. Does child services know your husband is torturing the baby? ~
Slightly off topic, but in that video I posted, the guys were holding their guitars way up on their chests. Who does that?
Here’s a pic of some guy posing like that. Doesn’t
Edited .. I see where it comes from now. It was an early 60s thing. John Lennon wore his guitar that way because he was nearsighted and couldn’t see the chords if the guitar was in the normal position. So it got to be a fad to wear it up high for a short time.
I meant to put this on my last post but the edit timer went to mid edit, as you can see.
Who could stand to watch the video long enough to notice??
“Workin’ like a hurricane,” or what ever those words are to what ever song that is.
At the moment the New one i have recently written which didn’t take long, and one by Little Dragon called Twice.
Total eclipse of the heart
Every time this Q comes up it shocks me because I always have a song in my head, whether I realize it or not.
I go walkin
After good night
(My neice’s 2 year old daughter’s version of Patsy Cline.)
Thanks @rojo. Now I have 3 very different songs in my head, all playing at the same time.
Arg.
I heard Message in a Bottle on the radio and it was in my head for days. I never liked that song!
Take Your Time by Sam Hart
@ibstubro I was never a fan of The Police. And it’s not just because of their name.
♫ And in the end…the love you get is worth the love you make .♪
Tin solders and Nixon’s coming.
We’re finally on our own.
This summer I hear the drumming.
Four dead in Ohio!
No one else brought up the fact that today’s the anniversary. And it’s the same weekday on which it occurred (Monday).
^^^Wow. What a sad waste.
I was never a fan of The Police or Sting @dxs.
Lay down and boogie and play that funky music till you die.
Also, “I believe in miracles, where ya from, you sexy thing!”
I get songs from RENT stuck in my head often… right now it’s:
…Let’s find a bar so dark
we forget who we are
where all the scars from the nevers and maybes die!
Let’s go out tonight. I have to go out tonight…
“Do your balls hang low, do they wobble too and fro….”
Hanging out with the grandkids today @Dutchess_lll?
Solace by the Pterodactyl Plains.
Paperback writer. “It’s a steady job but he wants to be a paperback writer…”.

Followed by Eleanor Rigby…“all the lonely people, where do they all come from…”.
Screwed up today and listened to Life is a Rock Now I can’t get it out of my head.
