Are you afraid of your mail?
I just paid off about a gazzillion bills. The sound of the mail box lid coming down used to make me a little sick, but it doesn’t any more! Yay!
Are you afraid of your mail? If so, why?

I’m not afraid of my mail… but I am afraid of phone calls on my landline and people in the hallway, close to my door.
@Dutchess_III Social workers wanting me to wake up get dressed and go for walks. Also my landline is for emergencies only… Some A$$hole put my phone on the telemarketing list. The volume is very loud and is next to my bed.
You’re afraid to wake up and get dressed? (Get the number changed.)
I have been the past 6 months due to mounting medical bills.
Hang in there @jonsblond. I just got the final $750 paid off on a hospital bill that’s been haunting me for 2 years.
Not at all, but i’m a little afraid of the postman, he must be seven foot tall, is stick thin, i’m talking praying mantis with a satchel here, wears a beard you could lose a badger in & smells of cabbage.
That was very descriptive, @ucme! I can see him perfectly in my mind, and I too am afraid.
You inspired a question! BRB.
Thankfully no. When we were younger, had a big mortgage and young kids, the mail could give me the heeby jeebies.
And now I know who’s getting so close to the postie. Our postie is on a scooter so we don’t get to smell him. I have no idea if he stinks or not.
^ scooter postie. You can’t smell them. I say no news is good news. Anything from the Australian government gives me pause.
Your question raised a number of points @Dutchess_III, not least being, why do people find it so hard to grasp that British posties deliver parcels as well as letters right to your door?
Any parcel too big to fit in the box, he knocks, we open.
Not hard to understand why any foul odour would be easily picked up without any fuss at all.
Well, I’ve never gotten large packages from anyone other than UPS. They just throw the package on the porch, knock then leave. They don’t wait for us to answer the door.
