Does anyone remember this old Windows game?

I'm trying to find this old game I remember playing as a kid. It might have been around the time of Windows 98. You start with a ship, and then you basically fly through the game shooting things, and at the end there's a big snake-like creature that shoots stuff at you. Anyone know what I'm talking about? :-)

Some more info - I think this game may have been pre-installed on our computer. Also, it's 3D with some pretty bad graphics (compared to today's)...

could it be space harrier? Your on a vehicle and you blast at a snake boss at the end of every level. It is available on mame emulator
