Does anyone remember this old Windows game?

I'm trying to find this old game I remember playing as a kid. It might have been around the time of Windows 98. You start with a ship, and then you basically fly through the game shooting things, and at the end there's a big snake-like creature that shoots stuff at you. Anyone know what I'm talking about? :-)
