Is The Mom Able To Put A Restraining Order On Me?

Asked by ShadowDimension (74points) February 21st, 2015

Remember the girl from this question? http://www.fluther.com/179157/is-it-illegal-to-take-a-picture-of-someone-sitting-down/. Well her Mom is super mad at me. Ever since that one time during reading I punched her then she punched me in the stomach and she only got in trouble. But we’ve been fine since then and haven’t hit each other since. Well on Monday we were meeting up at a friends house. I’ll give them names for now. The one who punched me will be named Ally. The one invited me to her house will be named Samantha. The other friend with us will be named Carly. And I will be Hanna. Ok anyways we were all waiting for Ally. Since the mom doesn’t like me much I had to hide behind Carly and Samantha. So basically we spent like 4 hrs there. Then when Ally had to go we had to pretend my name was Bailey because she knew my real name. Anyways the next day when we got in trouble for taking the pictures she told her mom “It’s ok she got in trouble this time” I was like “omg why did you tell her you’re mom hates me enough” She’s like “nothing that bad will happen” Wellllllll. Something bad did happen. When Ally walked outside her mom was there.. Her mom made her go to the office for some reasons. I didn’t know why at first but Carly was like “Um her Mom wants to put a restraining order on Ally from you” I said “omg this must be a lie right, im going to get in HUGE trouble” Samantha said “wow you never got in trouble in elementary school what happened” i said “idk I just know I’m screwed” Then we kind of just walked to our cars. But the worst part is I have 6/8 classes with ally so..

I don’t think there can be a restraining order unless a crime has been committed or a threat has taken place. The laws in your state may be different, but what I’m saying is that a restraining order comes from a Judge, and they take them very seriously, as it’s a serious document, so it won’t be for some silly classroom drama like what you have described.

Did I forget to add that when we were at Samantha’s house we decided it would be fun to fight each other. Outside. We all did a truce but since Samantha decided it was a good idea to post it on Snap Chat it didn’t help the situation considering she has over 100 friends on snapchat

You guys need to stop the stupidity and stop taking photos of things. If you’re fighting, there may be a restraining order so really, time to start acting more mature.

You maybe screwed, plan on getting a lawyer first.
Then plan on going to another school, get new friends and stop doing ridiculous things.

We did stop taking photos of things!!!! And second of all I was just fighting Carly jokingly. Samantha was like fight Ally. So I did but my back got hit on the headboard so we stopped. Also we did makeup so it totally makes up for fighting. Also even though we took the photo like a montha ago we got in trouble on Tuesday

It’s not likely. A restraining order it usually against a household member and pretty much requires a police report.

What a restraining order requires. Doubtful the mother is going to spend the time and money to pursue something that will more than likely just piss a judge off with it’s frivolity.

Honestly, this sounds too much like an episode of ‘Honey Boo-boo.’
If your parents know about all this crap and you’re still driving, you likely have a long, rough road ahead of you unless you can make your own decision to act more adult.

“Then we kind of just walked to our cars.”
So I’m posting as if they are 16, minimum.

Don’t worry about something that hasn’t happened. If something does happen, then just deal with it.

Maybe it’s a good time to take a look at how your actions affect you and other people. You’re young and therefore ignorant of a lot.

Go to school. Study. Learn. And stop doing stupid shit.

And don’t mind the biddies on fluther. Compassion is not their strong suit. You are a bit wacko sounding, though. It’s been so long since they were your age and being a teen now is so different.

Keo when ally came over I hid behind her for like 2 minutes. Then the mom left. We stayed at Samanthas house for 4 hrs I meant.
Ally said she wasnt sure if her mom knew what I looked like. Actually during conferences the teacher claimed they were a bad influence on me. Also Im confused how its odd drama… But she just meant they were boy crazy so… still confused about odd drama
