I want angry songs lyrics. But sadly I can’t think of a single one. How awful right. I suppose I never imagined it cathartic. But now I want to try it. If you could share I would appreciate it.
As far as genres I really like indie or folk. Maybe that’s why I can’t think of lyrics. Blues, jazz, classical. Rock is good though I tend to be old school. Rap can be good but I don’t know very many artists I consider good.

“Hard Rain’s Gonna Fall” – Bob Dylan
“Masters of War” – Bob Dylan
“Cops of the World” – Phil Ochs
“There You Go” – Buddy Holly
You Oughta Know
The Mariner’s Revenge Song (love this one)
“Find him, Bind him
Tie him to a pole and break
His fingers to splinters
Drag him to a hole until he
Wakes up naked
Clawing at the ceiling
Of his grave”
Thanks all queing them up to listen to them all.
There are number of operatic arias sung by the enraged.
Mozart – The Magic Flute – Der Holle Rache kocht in meinem Herzen sung by The Queen of the Night. The high notes will splinter your glasses.
Verdi – La Forza Del Destino – Pace, pace, mio Dio!
Puccini – Tosca – E Lucevan Le Stelle.
Aida; Amneris in the judgment scene. Act IV
Das Rheingold; Alberich’s curse on the ring. Act IV
Debussy’s La Mer, 3rd movement: “Dialogue du vent et de la mer.”
Even with no introduction, this well-known, often abused 1905 piece brings to mind only one thing: a roiling, angry sea. – Animé et tumultueux!
In this moment – Next life. You’ve been warned. I’ve received speeding tickets due to this song.
One my Grandad used to sing:
“Happy fucking birthday to me
Trousers soaked in more pee
One year older, droopy shoulder
Happy fucking birthday to me”
I may have made that up though, hard to sphel.
Another old schooler here. Combining folk, country & vintage rock together, three songs pop into my head. All three get me riled to one degree or another:
The Ballad of Ira Hays (Johnny Cash, who sing/speaks it with definite anger in his voice, especially at the end)
Ohio (Neil Young, about the Kent State massacre in 1974)
My Country ‘Tis Of My People You’re Dying (written & performed by Buffy Sainte-Marie; it is a look at 19th Century US History through Native American eyes, stressing all of the broken promises & treaties by the government)
The “mad at everything” song for me is Dear God
Great contributions. It is hard to pick a favorite so far but really helped me release some pent up energy altogether.
