Why do think there is so little discussion on Fluther about the conflict between our president and PM Netenyahu of Israel?

It may, at the end of the day, be the only truly significant geopolitical disagreement of our time.
And yet, nobody seems to give a shit.
Why is that?

Because I have other problems to deal with.
netanyahoo is the same as putin. i expect shit like this from assholes like that, so there is nothing to discuss
Because I would be willing to bet that hardly anyone here bothered to watch it,
I did watch it and immediately log on here to see the discussion about it. Absolutely nothing!
I went to other sites to talk with people who are actually interested in current events and educate themselves.
That example of a question that a member here posted was asked before the speech not after it!! Four weeks ago
I don’t live in the US, and I’m tired of my comments here being deleted because some sad-sack takes them personally….
It is not between Obama and PM Netenyahu; it is between Obama and Prince Boenher. The Prince is trying to start a fight with Obama and The Prince doesn’t care if he has caused an international FAUX PAS.
He’s not my president & there it is, I have not one single fuck to give.
“And yet, nobody seems to give a shit.”
Silly assumption. We simply don’t wish to discuss it here.
Well, we should all give a bit of a shit. But every time I write something on this subject I get attacked and edited here so I’m sick of this topic on this website.
The big problem with Boehner’s invitation to Bibi is that Congress is not supposed to coordinate, engage in nor conduct foreign policy. separation of powers dictates that foreign policy matters belong to the Executive branch. the motive behind the speech is purely political on both Bibi and Boehner’s part. Bibi seems to be in trouble at home politically and hopefully they can elect a leader who is not such a war monger.
It’s kind of hard to give a shit when you are dealing with your own shit and you don’t know there’s other shit goin’ down.
There are nearly infinite important things we could be talking about here. How a “story” bubbles up in priority and becomes discussion-worthy is interesting. But it would be just as interesting to discuss why we were discussing your Netenyahu story rather than something else. In fact, I’m very interested in how the lack of sufficient Netenyahu discussion on Fluther is worth discussing instead of the Netenyahu situation itself.
I wouldn’t be interested in any Obama/Netenyahu discussions, however. :)
I can tell you why I don’t discuss questions like this (about which I know little except what the media tells me): It’s comments like:
netanyahoo is the same as putin. i expect shit like this from assholes like that, so there is nothing to discuss.
American taxpayers give Israel $3.15 BILLION per year and Benjamin Netanyahu is going to scold us about our foreign policy???
Fuck Israel. Fuck Boehner. And fuck Netanyahu.
Because contrived political theater really isn’t that interesting.
‘And yet, nobody seems to give a shit’. Has it ever struck you that not everyone on here lives in America? So it’s of little interest .
Actually, I don’t live in the US, but the shit that goes down in the Middle East is of interest to me. I have Christian relatives in the US who are giant Zionists who believe in the second coming and actually WANT there to be a huge 3 world war that starts in the Middle East.
Reading this thread I now understand why nothing of importance is ever discussed here.
The loudest and most outrageous post are usually written by people who don’t really know what the fuck is going on. Especially in politics.
It’s like: Don’t confuse me with the facts because I still want to hate the people I want to hate.
