Why isn't iTunes burning my playlists to CDs?

I’m getting an error saying “The attempt to burn a disc failed. An unknown error occurred (4450).”

I don’t know what to do. I thought at first it was because of the new iTunes update so I went and did that but it still has this error. I even turned off and on my computer to install Windows updates thinking that might have something to do with it.

My computer reads the disc fine as a completely empty disc. When I ask iTunes to burn the playlist onto the disc, it starts up and begins burning the first song but then cancels right away.

I also tried using other empty discs. Still doesn’t work.
