Can you link to a picture where Ted Cruz does not look like a Goober?

This was the best I could do, and it’s not real promising.
Comedy relief?

Whatza Goober lookc like like ????? GOOBER
@ibstubro Really? That is the best you can do? He looks like he has just been caught beating off on the Texas flag. Not a very flattering pic.
Goober was defined as a link in the OP. Click on the link, “promising”.
Hilarious, @Darth_Algar.
I had no idea you were such a fan, @rojo!
Here is the scariest photo of all.
I almost feel sorry for conservatives——well almost. We’re in for some real entertainment from THIS one.
@rojo Ted Cruz isn’t much to look at. Some people may say that his face is ugly. I get that. So have your fun wasting your time trying to bring him down. He’ll never be President anyway.
It isn’t his diazed and confused looks which mark him for ridicule. It’s his breathtaking ability to spout interminable nonsense that will keep the country’s stand up comics fully employed for the next year and a half.
I think that this is part of why I like Fluther. It’s interesting to see how other people see the world.
It helps when his mouth is closed in the picture, ‘cause if it’s open, you know that idiocy is pouring out.
@ibstubro Other perspectives be they good, bad, bizarre and or ugly can be fascinating to me. Why they are correct or wrong is the question.
After hearing a discussion of him on NPR by Jeffrey Toobin, I would not dismiss Ted Cruz’s abilities lightly. His ideas and policies are anathema to me but he is a highly educated man with a wealth of legal experience. He may end up being a formidable foe.
@janbb
All that means dick when it comes to whether or not the average voter will cast their ballot for him.
@Darth_Algar I’m not sure. I think he is scarier than we think. Look who got into Congress this time.
Getting elected to Congress is vastly different from getting elected to the White House. To get into Congress you only have to appeal to the people of your district (who are likely to be fairly homogenous). To get into the white House you have to appeal to people across the nation.
Let’s hope. I do think it’s unlikely he’ll get the nomination but I just think that dismissing him as a buffoon is a mistake.
@Darth_Algar And here we have the dilemma for conservatives. It isn’t that getting elected to Congress is difficult for whack job conservatives. When these people show up, they are like the pock marks on a small pox victim. Cruz“s elevation to the Congress is an announcement to the country that “the anemic distribution of rational people in my district has resulted in the concentration of enough of the feeble witted to swing my election.” This is the REAL problem facing the conservative movement, and the primary cause of a gridlocked Congress. Furthermore, there’s a lot to consider when thinking about the possibility of a man emerging from a Harvard education to preach the “fallacies” of global warming and other trendy dummyisms. The eruption of these bozos seemingly out of nowhere with their teaparty fans in tow is a sad commentary on the mental acuity of the electtorate in our republic, but then again he IS straight outta Texas!
I am glad to know that I am not the only one who sees something wrong. It is not so much looking like a Goober as looking slightly demonic. The guy gives me the willies, and that’s before I heard him speak. I felt the same way with Todd Akin.
Interesting quote from the article @ibstubro linked to (above):
“The Cruz who has most often graced the real estate of our newspapers and web pages has appeared angry, disgusted, tired of your pathetic silliness, done with your sophomoric suggestions, knowing (more than you, duh), barely tolerant (of your ridiculous ideas), superior in every way, extremely self-satisfied and, most often, brimming with contempt.”
Points for opening a link, @rojo.
I just came across this article, which I thought you might find amusing, or perhaps a little scary. He’s everywhere!
