I love Colin Firth, and Samuel Jackson is disarming, but it was a little too over-the-top gory for my taste.
It was watchable and well done for its genre. The fight scenes were choreographed well and pretty satisfying to watch (if gore doesn’t bother you).
Samuel L. Jackson was a riot. A good villain makes or breaks a movie. Even more so than the protagonist, in my opinion.
I have wanted to see that movie. Thanks for asking this question.
Not my usual type of movie but fun for what it is. The violence was more cartoonish than gory but still violence.
I have seen it. I agree it was violent in parts, but I enjoyed it. I’ve read comments from people who got upset about a particular scene at the end, but it didn’t bother me. I found the film funny.
It’s based on a cartoon, so people should take that into account. Lots of violence, but it’s pretty cartoon-y violence.
okay thank you all, maybe I’ll watch it with my friend tomorrow :D
I just watched it with my sister. We both came out of the theater unsure if we liked it or not. I liked parts of it (and the choreography of the fight scene in the church was brilliant), but parts of it were psychotic. I didn’t care for the last ⅓ – ¼ of the movie. It was kind of a weird experience. I enjoyed Colin Firth as an action figure, and Samuel L Jackson as a lisping villain with a weak stomach was amusing.
Ok just finished it with one of my girl friends, you guys are all right.. A little bit violent, crazy last part, and amazing first scene @syz (I really should follow you lol). Anyway, it gave us a fine night, so~~~
And I noticed I’ve already followed some of you guys which I didn’t realize and was just about to follow again lol, this is really a lovely neighbourhood XD
