How much do you pay per month for your cell phone plan and what is included (number of phones, text limits, etc.)?

My cell phone has been provided by my job for about the past 9 years, so I have not had the pleasure of having to pay for one myself. It will continue to be provided, but it occurred to me yesterday when someone was discussing what they pay for and how much it costs, that I don’t have a clue.
What do you pay for your cell phone plan and what is included (number of phones, etc.)?

I have a “pay as you go”. I pay 15 bucks a month. They charge me 25 cents a day just for the “service”. Texts are 30 cents each whether outgoing or incoming. And calls are 25 cents a minute. Yeh, it’s a raw deal. But I very rarely use it. (I have a landline).
I use a Google Voice number, so I can make and take calls over wifi and landlines without using any cell minutes.
So with my prepaid plan I can spend as little as $7/month. When I travel it might hit $30/month.
There is no monthly minimum.
$0.09/minute talk
$0.09 per text
$0.09 per MB data
There are some disadvantages. The main one being many services do not recognize my number as cell and they won’t send a text. I think that’s a common problem with prepaid/pay-as-you go plans.
I used to pay $75/month for 400 minutes / 200MB data / 20 (yes 20!) texts
In B.C canada here I pay $60 a month and that is unlimited Canada wide talk, text and message, no data, 24hours 7 days a week.
But I don’t have a smart phone so data doesn’t mean anything to me.
North Carolina –

Total per month $109.00 (taxes and fees) with a $12.00 corporate discount for retirees.
$130 for two lines, unlimited every thing except internet. However, only one is a smart phone but he doesn’t use it to access the internet any more. My phone is just a flip.
Oh, and I got a free pad the last time I renewed. I forget how my GB that came with, but I rarely use GB cause that will eat your lunch. I use whatever Wifi or Bluetooth is available.
Tmobile (USA)

Upgraded as in got a new phone, or signed a new contract? I got a new phone just about two years ago now, and contract was four years ago,
Verizon (only option in much of
Massachusetts)
$170/mo
3 phones (2 Moto X, Note 3)
6 GB shared data
unlimited texting and voice
I’d look into a new plan @BhacSsylan. That 5 friend and family numbers is pretty out dated, as is as set number of minutes. Most everything today is unlimited.
Geez. I remember when you paid $35 for 350 minutes, and were charged long distance and roaming.
I’d have to pay for data, which would be much more expensive for my use. Trust me, I checked all the prices carefully when I decided to go off contract two years ago. Also, why would I care if it’s outdated? It’s still more minutes than I need, so it’s effectively unlimited.
Sure, I understand. But what happens if you call people who aren’t on your list?
I’m saving $10 a month by not having a smart phone.
I have 900 minutes. I rarely break 300. The only reason I’m not at the 450 tier is I call my fiance quite a bit, who is now one of my free numbers.
Also, I could pay just a bit more (like $10) and get unlimited minutes. Not worth it.
Just checked, it is indeed only $10 more, no need to re-sign a contract and lose my unlimited data, and still totally not worth it.
Right on! People want to call me fogie for not having a smart phone. I’m just like, “Hey, I’m saving $10 a month by not having one!”
@Dutchess_III I have found no reason in my lifestyle to have a smart phone as well, my flip does everything I want, plus take pictures and video that I can send.
My cross shift has a smart phone with data and he pays $80 a month so I am saving $20 with my flip.
I’m the opposite, my smartphone is an integral part of my lifestyle and job. Hence the need for unlimited data, I tend to use 10–12 gigs per month.
Tmobile
$30 per month.
100 minutes
Unlimited text and web with the first 5gb at LTE speed.
I only pay for it to be on when I have to. Usually I have a deal with a neighbor to use their internet in exchange for caring for their dogs when they are out of town. Their internet is currently out of service while they try to play the two companies against each other for a better deal. When I am on their Wi-Fi, I use Google voice as my phone number.
