How often do you see bulletin boards?
I know they’re still out there, but have they become less common than they used to be?

Other than Craigslist?
lol
That’s what I mean, I wanted to see if I was right to feel that the internet has made bulletin boards less common.
There are two types. Physical ones (like those found in grocery stores and such) and virtual ones.
The physical ones still have their place and are many times preferable for very local business.
But I haven’t used an online one since the 80s or so.
Altho I guess the exception might be Craigslisr, if you consider it a BB.
Every single day. There’s one in our garage gym, one in my office, and one in the kitchen at work.
I don’t think so. They’re all over my school and at least one by the doors of some of the thrift stores I go to.
Every day when I work, noticed a few have gone electronic and will change the message a few times in the couple of seconds it takes to drive past them.
@SQUEEKY2: I think you’re thinking of billboards.
@jca oops sorry you are quite correct, me bad. :(
I live in a rural community and I see the billboard at my local feed store all the time.
It’s great!
Horses for sale, chickens, all sorts of livestock, gardening supplies, plants, seeds, stable boys for hire, horse trainers for hire, horse clinics, trail rides, tractors, horse tack, puppies. Nothing like a community feed store BB. lol
I see bulletin boards in small non-chain stores and cafes.
Now that you mention it, I miss the boards at the pharmacy and the grocery store.
The laundromat and the entrance of Walmart….but I think that’s mostly missing kids.
@cheebdragon Maybe a lot of kids go missing at laundromats and Walmarts?
Tommy Smith, last seen between the rinse and spin cycle at Bubbles laundromat.couldn’t resist.
My friends and I refer to certain laundromats as the places where Mom beats the kids inside while Dad changes the oil in the parking lot.
The closest laundromat from my house has security cameras that cover every inch of the entire property. It wouldn’t be a good idea to beat your kids at that location.
I see them at the grocery store and our little post office. I found our excellent snowplow guy via the post office bulletin board. The board at the grocery store highlights local events like community theatre performances. Other than that, I have one at work with various bits and pieces that make me smile.
They still have bulletin board kiosks on campus.
Like @tedibear, I too have one at our little post office and local country store. Everyone uses them for everything…buying, selling, goods and services, garden advice, recruiting for care giving, meals-on-wheels, political and social volunteering.
