On Dr Oz a lady from the audience ate a bite of a burger made from bison and liked it. Have you eaten bison and, if so, how was it?

I’ve had bison, emu and ostrich burgers, and all are excellent if cooked right. It isn’t beef with it’s higher fat content, so don’t overcook it.
@Adirondackwannabe – I’ve had Bison and they were great. I had ostrich once – seemed very salty to me. (but that could have been the way it was prepared).
If someone gave you a bison burger without telling you what it was, you probably wouldn’t notice that it wasn’t beef. A couple of restaurants in my area serve it. I like being able to eat a burger without feeling guilty about how the animal was raised.
It’s amazing. It even has way more protein.
Never had it but I have heard it is better than burger made with beef, even Kobi beef or prime sirloin.
No, but they should be. My grandfather once told me, “You don’t know how good beef can taste because all you’ve ever had is this stuff they sell in the store.” Explorers, miners, pioneers of the old west needed only a gun and a bag of salt to survive outside of civilization. I heard of some saying by a European; “Wine and flesh!” I have had moose and it is DIVINE!!!
I have. I find them tasty but dry. My impression was that they did not contain as much fat as beef as @Adirondackwannabe mentioned and so were probably overcooked.
I have made bison burgers and I did enjoy it more than beef, but the meat is too expensive for me to have it often.
I’ve had bison many times, but I never seem to like it. The only preparations I’ve had were as a burger and sausage. I think it’s too lean and lacks flavor.
I’ve had Bison burgers several times, cheeseburgers. Chili with chunks of bison is great.
They are good. I used to have a buffalo burger every year at Old Cowtown in Wichita during Riverfest.
