I think Dan Uggla with three.
Man, and he’s from NY too. Rough night!
Yeah, Uggla just took the record.
Uggla is from Kentucky and plays for Florida. Where’s the NY connection?
The broadcaster mentioned it in connection with his dad. Maybe it’s not him, but his da,d who’s from Schnectady?
It was his grandfather who took the train down to see games in the Mantle era.
(So the announcer said)
God! What a great game, though!
Go NL!
Personally, I’m ready for it to be over. But the defense in the extra innings has been amazing.
Definitely ready for it to be over.
Those who want it over (and it is now sorry Chuckie AL Rules!) would you have left the game early without seeing the end, or are you a “stay until the last out” kind of fan?
I would have stayed there until the end, for sure.
¡Yo, también!
GD AL! Any league that doesn’t have their pitchers bat is not playing real baseball!
AstroChuck: I totally and completely agree.
It’s sissyball.
Lurve to you, lefteh! Smartest thing said in this thread!
Just think if CC Sabathia would have had a bat in his hand all season with the Tribe.
Dan Uggla is done. That crap is gonna mess up his whole career.
After Atlee Hammaker gave up a Grand Slam in the 1983 All Star game it began a long fall for him. Hopefully that doesn’t happen to Uggla.
@simone54: Naw, he’s still an all-star. Any reasonable management is going to look at it and say, “You had a bad weekend.” (from a deep blue Yankee’s fan)
It looks like Uggles wasn’t hanging his head in shame afterward.
But man – that’s still one bad day, even if half the world isn’t watching.
