So what do you think will be the next huge craze, that the populace will flock to?

Asked by SQUEEKY2 (23425points) April 13th, 2015

And do you think whatever it will be will top Facebook, or Texting?
I for one have never been swept up in these crazes that seem to rock peoples world, so that is why I am asking.

I’m still waiting for those hoverboards that Back to the Future promised us. Those would catch on like wildfire!

Yeah, can you picture a fifty something over weight truck diver trying one of those??
Not very pretty.

Tarzan yelling… http://youtu.be/MwHWbsvgQUE
Try it in the street sometime, or leaning out of your truck, but be careful, it’s a jungle out there.

Voting for a democrat….”because they aren’t republican” seems to be a popular bandwagon.

Ditching the devices! “Don’t be a slave to the man, man!”

Spending time with people face to face with no electronic devices interrupting for more than an hour.

I would have hoped 15 years ago the 4 day work week would be trending, but I’ve begun to give up on that.

@cheebdragon I have a relative who does that who was a Republican for 40 years (the majority of his adult life). None of my family members who have always been Democrats think that way.

@fluthernutter took my steam…I was going to say that I wouldn’t hazard a guess because I’m so far behind the times the invention would probably already be a reality.

I think in the near future the next generation of nanobots will be able to cheaply re-form to create tools withing a specified range. Think a 2×2 block that can reform itself into a full sized tool currently available in a multi-tool. Or a motor and a 6 inch cube of bots that can re-form into a multi-function appliance. Imagine how cool it would be to have a Shopsmith where you could drill a hole then have a beer while you watched it re-configure itself into a lathe to make a dowel to fit the hole? For the cost of a small car plus a 12 pack you could have a really cool birdhouse in an afternoon.

I saw something that was short lived on fb. It was a Meme that claimed that Connecticut was going to start fining companies who didn’t pay their employees a “living wage.” I shared it with the observation that each state sets their own minimum wage so….
