Soooooo, how about those taxes? Americans; are we all done yet, or are there some procrastinators?

Were you done, and already received your refund, or paid your debt? Is your 1040 still in your glovebox, waiting for you to open the booklet?
I have some recent tricky stuff to sort out. I have an extension.

I’m procrastinating right now, as usual, even though it’s actually almost done.
I did them a few weeks ago. I owed again this year, although not as much. I have no issue with paying taxes. Seriously. I feel lucky.
Finished with several hours to spare #procrastination_denial.
Just have a two inch thick pile of deductions to go through… No worries, r-right?
Nice to see you again, and bite me. :)
I love that this is accountants crazy busy time of the year.
I did mine back in February. Of course that was because I got a refund.
I sent it in last week. I’m actually getting back some money. I’m shocked.
I just realized I don’t have to file them because I make under a certain amount. I filed the federal ones but stopped at the state taxes because that’s where TurboTax started charging me.
Pssshaw… Amateurs!
I filed my extension days ago. :-)
They owe me. I have a CPA/CFP in the family and so I get them done whenever – when they owe you, they don’t care when you do them. I have 3 years worth being done this year. They’ll probably be done in the next month. He is so stressed out every year, I know better than to mention it until after April 15.
Pfft. Mailed mine days ago. fuck Turbo Tax.
I always file the extension.
Done in February. All monies have changed hands.
@fundevogel Paper filers unite!
I had a CPA once that said “I hope you have a tax problem.”
We looked at him confused and he said, “If you have a tax problem you’re making money.”
@Judi Hmm… I’ve had “tax problems” that would have cost me money if I hadn’t been on top of things. They can go either way.
Maybe he meant that if you’re having a tax problem, then he’s making more money.
We do our taxes at the end of June, but like @jca, I was owed so much they didn’t care that I was two years late. I filed two tax returns and they paid me what they owed. It was very nice to get that deposit in my bank account!
@Judi I always say, “if you’re complaining about paying a lot of taxes that means you’re making a lot of money.”
I hate taxes. Because of that I avoid them until April without fail. Just finished.
Usually I am in line at the post office about 10 pm on the 15th but for the first time in a long time that I got a refund (it is sad that you have to lose money to get some back) so I got it in on the morning of the 14th.
My CPA finished my taxes a couple weeks ago (over 100 pages of it). But my taxes are never finished as I have to pay quarterly.
Laughs, please no more bat jokes. :)
