Would you be better off with a nap room and recess at your work?
Would it be ideal to have both at your work / school?

yes, If I could bubble away from everything on my lunch hour I would do it and come back in much better shape to handle the rest of the day.
Yes, a twenty minute nap would do wonders for me.
I used to go out to my car and take a nap during lunch. It was quiet and private and so relaxing.
Here you go!
The company is Yarde Metals headquarters are in Connecticut. I’ve been on a tour of the Southington plant when I left they handed me a bag of fresh roasted coffee that had been roasted that afternoon in their lobby roaster.
I’m not a napper, but I’m fully on-board for recess!
Work is such a stress environment and 10 minutes in the institutional staff room or hanging out with the smokers by the trash compacter does not constitute a real break.
I’d love to skip rope or play tag with my coworkers for 20 minutes a day! That would be awesome!
Arianna Huffington added nap rooms at her company offices. I saw her talk about it a few years ago. She believes it has been an extremely positive addition.
I’m all for it. There is all sorts of studies suggesting the sleep pattern of 6ish hours a night and then a long siesta in the afternoon is a very natural sleep pattern.
Deary me, yes! I’ve been a napper since the day I was born. College classes were scheduled around them. I’m much more productive for the rest of the day if I can get 30–45 minutes of sleep in the afternoon.
As for recess, most of my jobs were physically active. Of the few times where it was a desk job, it was in a corporate office environment which had a fitness center, a tennis court, and an outdoor walking path that could be done during a 15-minute break. It was just enough time to shake the cobwebs off and get some fresh air.
I think it would be great for adults to have a ‘Discovery Zone for adults’ to play at their jobs.
A 15 minute power nap in a tanning bed might be good. :)
