What food induced your most dramatic binging episode?

When I was a pre-teen, I recall a few times when I ate an entire family sized bag of Doritos nacho flavored tortilla chips in one sitting. As an adult, I recall eating an entire box of These over the course of two or three days, by myself.
What did you eat?
After you had your binge, did you still like and eat (hopefully in more normal portion sizes) that food? I did, and do : )

Most recently, frosted animal crackers. I still like them but not as much as before. Well, that might just be a lie once I gain sight of another tub of them at the grocery store.
@Kardamom What’s this with you and food today? More so than usual.
I have, a couple of times, bought an assortment of half a dozen cake donuts and vanilla creme-filled donuts from Krispy Kreme and eaten the whole half dozen (to hide the evidence, don’t you know).
My s/o and I went to an orchard on Lake Champlain that had an awesome bakery. We bought coffee and a half dozen donuts. They didn’t make it to the car. We had to go back in for more.
I have on a couple of occasions eaten a Large veggie pizza from Pizza Hut. Yes, on my own. And yes, I still love pizza. But I do have an eating disorder, and while that was extreme even for me, I do things like listed above all the time.
Not long ago I bought one of those milk cartons of Whoppers and while watching a suspenseful movie I ate almost the whole carton! I couldn’t believe it!
I can binge in pizza too, not quite an entire large pizza but I can eat about 6 slices easily if I’m really hungry.
I don’t really binge on food. Binging is more for beer and good TV shows.
I don’t know if it counts as a binge, but these foods I have been known to eat too much at one sitting. Pizza, lasagna, linguine with meat sauce and mozzarella (favorite comfort food) and coca cola cake.
When I was about 10 I ate a bunch of VanHouten Orange flavored chocolate bars. (Someone gave my Dad 2 boxes of them as a gift for us. ) I’ll bet I ate ~6.
I got to “enjoy” them twice. Bleeech!
Almond-covered cheese balls and crackers.
@Cupcake OMG! I love those cheese balls. haha
@Adirondackwannabe It’s mostly the insomnia talking. I was dead tired last night, but couldn’t sleep. I was trying to come up with some good food threads and I had been looking at Pinterest, which is kind of like a food binge in and of itself. Then I was thinking about some of the people I know who often talk about going out and drinking or eating way too much food, on a fairly regular basis, which is kind of weird to me. You all know I enjoy eating and talking about food, but I think I’m pretty practical and the idea of binge eating kind of freaks me out. I’m the type of person to bring along a cooler when I go out to eat, knowing that I’m going to bring home some tasty leftovers for the next day. No need to gorge on everything in one sitting.
I was also thinking of a couple of family members that are in need of losing some weight (their idea not mine) in the range of 50 pounds or so, but instead of eating a healthy diet consisting of nutrition-dense foods, shrinking the portion sizes, and having a regular exercise routine, they’ve opted for the eat lots of bacon because the cavemen did it diet. Needless to say, they haven’t lost any weight and they’re always sick or have mysterious aches and pains. One of my cousins just posted a picture of some type of Hawaiian red sea salt with a caption that says: this just might be the product I need for losing weight. Huh? I think people are always looking for some type of a miracle product to help them lose or maintain a healthy weight, but they often don’t even think about the nutritional value of what they eat.
I was just thinking that it would be great fun to have a Fluther potluck in which we brought all the foods that people like to binge on. Forget the salads and casseroles, bring on the chocolate donuts and cheese balls! @Coloma and @Cupcake I love cheese balls too.
@Kardamom I could see how insomnia would do that to you. I hate when that happens. Although not today, My butt is dragging, I stayed up to watch Dave’s last show. If I make it to quitting time I’ll be lucky.
I just made mac-n-cheese, haven’t had it forever and today is cool and breezy and it just sounded great! Zinged it up with a little white pepper. Yum!
There is really only one food that I will binge on, and that’s cherry cheese cake. So…..I only have it in the house maybe once a year.
16 pack of Saltines. This X4. I ate them all in about three days. Just sitting at my computer drinking beer and tube after tube of saltines. This did not end well.
I woke up one morning and my ankles had swollen to about double their normal size. I could barely walk for about a week. It was one of the most painful things I have experienced. Costco will kill me.
Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies.
I swear they’ve gotten smaller though!
During my early grade school years, first through fourth, I would eat spaghetti and garlic bread until I got sick.
As a kid, I could eat unlimited pancakes! And I was never, ever fat or even a little overweight. Skinny as a rail.
@dxs No, I’m just teasing Dutchess.
The only binge I will have is episodes of a good TV series.
LOL! No. Most people classify me as “skinny” still today, and compared to most of the rest of the population I suppose I am. But I don’t think I am @Adirondackwannabe. Not compared to what I used to be. I’m carrying 30 more pounds than I used to. This is me in about 2005 or 06, and that’s been about par for the course. Hell, when I quit smoking the first time I gained 20 pounds. Weighed all of 135 on a 5’8” frame! I took that back off though.
When I had my first kid, I weighed 135 when I went into labor.
Since that pic I’ve put on 20 pounds again but as you can see my frame can handle an extra 20! Still trying to take if off though, because I don’t like it.
Oh oh! I forgot I had this! This is the kid who could eat unlimited pancakes, and this is the reason I didn’t get fat!
