Which do you prefer, knee socks, thigh high, ankle socks, calf socks, or no socks?

A bit of light-hearted fluff to muse over, when it comes to socks (if you wear any) which socks do you wear mostly and is the choice driven by what you are wearing, weather, or what footwear you have on? It might not be the same or some styles not apply if you are male, or if you are female for certain sizes (then again, these days it might not matter the style at all) but have fun with it, it doesn’t matter anyhow.
