Even since the days of Bewitched and The Brady Bunch, I’ve always enjoyed looking at the home interiors on some of the TV shows that I watch. Maybe that’s why I’m drawn to reality shows like The Property Brothers and Love it or List It.
I really like the Brownstone interior on Elementary. I also like the Morgue on The Murdoch Mysteries. And Inspector Edmund Reid’s office on Ripper Street (can’t seem to find a decent picture). And the Dining Room at Nonnatus House on Call the Midwife. And most of the house interiors on Midsomer Murders. And Doctor Ellingham’s Surgery on Doc Martin.
What house, or other set interiors do you like on TV or movies that you’ve seen?

I really liked the set interiors of 8 Simple Rules and Home Improvement
I’m watching Doc Martin on Netflix this very instant, and that surgery/residence of his is a death trap for anyone taller than 5ft 7. I liked the sets on Downton Abbey. The huge rambling house of the Flytes from Brideshead Revisited was fun to peruse. Then there was the fun of watching the characters travel through rabbit warren of The White House sets on the West Wing.
I liked the apartment from Mad About You. I lurve the idea of city-living as depicted on television. I also like the apartments from Friends and Sex and the City.
Sadly, I know in real life that for $1000/mo in Boston or New York you get maybe a 400 sq. ft. walk-up in a crappy building. Not quite as cool.
I lived the Brady Bunch house!
I really liked the set on Frasier.
I like the old Two and a Half Men set.
The new Odd Couple.
The Good Wife
Madam Secretary
Revenge
The inside of the Tardis is pretty spectacular. Amazing use of limited space.
I’d happily live in Marty Kaan’s cool pad in House of Lies or the Cartwright ranch house on Bonanza.
The ship, Serenity. Firefly class. Favourite of unsavory types. Plenty of hiding places for smuggling.
The Flinstones had a nice home; easy to clean.
On a more serious note – On the House TV show, Dr. House’s place (condo?) white painted bookshelves full of books on the wall, comfortable couch, etc. – looked like a decent and welcoming place to live.
Totally agree with @ragingloli about TNG.
I always thought the house in The Golden Girls & the house/office where the Designing Women hung out were fabulous. Likewise the Cunningham’s home in Happy Days looked well laid out, quite spacious & quite comfortable.
Especially the Main Bridge. I would totally have my living room look like that, giant Viewscreen/LCD TV included.
There is a variety on “Nashville” that I enjoy. The traditional anti-bellum tutor mansion of Rayna, Juilette’s ultra-modern spread, the more modest houses and Sears’ bungalows of the other leads…Avery, Duncan, Gunnar, Scarlett, and the occasional wayback of a pick-up.
Married with children living room.
All the houses on Parenthood but I have to laugh that they are supposed to be in Berkeley.
The Adams Family.
OK for all you enlightened ones, Newhart.
@JLeslie Yes Frasier’s apartment was fabulous!
@Devilishtreat OMG, I thought I was the only one who watched and loved Newhart. That was a pretty nifty inn.
@Pachy The Cartwright’s house was pretty cool.
Bubby’s house from Weeds. It’s kind of a borderline hoarder house, but everything seems to be neatly arranged and it would be so much fun to go through all the stuff.
I dream of living in a house like Lorelei and Rory Gilmore’s in Gilmore Girls. I would also like Lorelei’s car, hair and life!
