Men, do you shower with your wife or do you shower alone?

Asked by Hypocrisy_Central (26879points) June 29th, 2015

In what frequency do you shower with your wife (providing you have a shower large enough)? Do you shower with her most of the time, some of the time, sparsely, or do you both prefer to shower alone? The times you do shower together did she join you or invite you to join her, or was it the other way around with you asking or joining her? Those times you showered together did you wash each other’s body or either of you washed both of you, or you were just there together but washed your own body? Do you shower together for the pleasure of it or to conserve or use less water?

Would you also like to know if it ends in a money shot? If she spits or shallows? Does she trim the lawn or remove it completely? I mean as long as we’re gonna be feeding your voyeuristic fantasies here tell us if there are any more details we can fill out to give you the most vivid mental imagery possible.

Do you use soap or shower gel, a sponge or loofah? Is the water hot or lukewarm? Do you use a towel or drip dry? Have I left out anything?

What, WHO came up with looking at couples shower? Oh….it was YOU. Why did I ask the question Mr. Swami ? Seeing you can read minds, what am I thinking now…(give you a hint, you don’t want to know, even if you COULD know)? Let me show you just how lousy at reading minds that you are, and those fantasies are all yours. I say a TV show way back when that had a gratuitous showers scene. A guy was showering and then his wife joined him, and they were talking something about work. I was thinking if couples who were married really did that or they just did that to get them both naked in the shower when the conversation could have been had over coffee and oatmeal at the kitchen table. Also way back when, on of my clients at the salon was talking about redoing the bathroom and mentioned wanting to install a shower made for two, meaning her and her husband can be in there at the same time. As far as mind reading go….don’t quit your day job, if you even have one.

I can’t say, they do not have any relevance for this question.

Well, what does it say in the Bible about showering with your wife?

This question might have been received better if re-framed as Women, do you shower with your husband or wife or significant other, or alone?

rockfan's avatar

@Darth_Algar I agree, this is a creepy question

janbb's avatar

@zenvelo Yes, I was tempted to add that if I had a same-sex partner (or perhaps a cute dog) I would be inclined to shower with them. Would also need a bigger shower though.

So then what is, exactly, your motivation in asking such a question? What do you wish to glean from it?

Dutchess_III's avatar

Cheese and rice. We take showers when we feel it is necessary, which usually isn’t at the same time or even on the same day.

Two people in one shower is extremely inconvenient and not conducive to accomplishing ANYTHING in the shower. I hate it.

Which version of ”wife”, the correct version of God, or the incorrect version of the US? If we are speaking of the correct version as in the Bible, anything a man and woman who are married does with each other sexually or not is holy and acceptable to God, that is what He created man and women for, to be with each other.

I could tell you to go back and read my last post, but I will digress and re-post it. repost-] I saw a TV show way back when that had a gratuitous showers scene. That was the catalyst for the question, as if I needed to qualify it for anyone. It was interesting to see how common it really was, no different than someone who only got sex three times a month would wonder if all the other guys he worked with are getting it more, or a woman would wonder if all other women’s guys left them after they had sex. There are many reasons people think about what others are doing.

@deni Thank you, for answering the question, seemed to stump some people.

It might also depend on the size of the water heater, would it not? 40 gallons can run out pretty fast… So, yeah, not too practical…

^ If one person takes a 30 min shower, but two people together takes a 15 min shower, how can that use that much more water?

Dutchess_III's avatar

Who in the world takes 30 minute showers?? And your question regarding two people taking (at the same time) a 15 minute shower, makes no sense. anyway you cut it, the second shower, with two people, is a15 minute shower.

@Hypocrisy_Central

Except that your original post (as well as your particular posting history) belies your claim of being being curious if people shower together. If you were only curious about that then the rest of you OP seems extraneous to that.

ARE_you_kidding_me's avatar

No, but i would like that to change.

Hypocrisy_Central's avatar

@Dutchess_III Who in the world takes 30 minute showers?
Those not taking hour long showers, of which I knew of a few. Some people get down the business, get clean and get out. Other people, i guess, find something relaxing standing in the spray for longer periods of time.
