As a Dragonball Zed fan, what type of game do you prefer?
Do you prefer games where you control one of the established characters, or do you prefer games where you create your own distinct character and help the established characters in their battles (dragonball xenoverse)?

I love creating my own characters in most games that allow it…but as far as DBZ goes, I’d really rather play as the top dogs. I love the characters and the stories, so that’s what I want to see if I play a DBZ game. Who doesn’t want to waste ass as Kakarrot, Vegita and all the others?
Mind you, the DBZ universe is pretty complete, and interesting to learn about, even the more mundane and out of the way things. But I would truly prefer to play as a known character. I haven’t played all that many DBZ games though. Most of the fighting games I can’t quite seem to comprehend, they’re weird. But I do recall playing a DBZ rpg on an emulator, that was fucking cool.
I’m reminded of a Lord of the Rings game I played that gave you generic, shadow version characters of all the main cast from the franchise…this dipleased me. I wanted to play as Gimli, but no, you’re some nobody party eating the scraps left behind by the Fellowship. Meh.
Never played this xenoverse game, and despite my preferences, I’m still very interested in it. I might just pick it up eventually. Can’t afford that many games but the DBZ one should keep me occupied for a long time, if it’s any good.
