End of an era! Life as we know it has changed! What will idle hands do now that bubble-wrap will no longer pop?

Why would the manufacturer call this an improvement?

Now I am going to have to be reduced to only one mindless, busy activity; pretending I am a little robot. I take baby steps right to a wall, bounce off, wobble, change direction. The game continues until I hit as many walls possible before coming to a awkward stop at the top of the stairs.
I like poppy bubbles better.

Altho it’s not the real deal, the withdrawals may be eased a bit for smartphone owners.

There are at least a dozen or more FREE Bubble Wrap Apps (as well as paid ones turned into some sort of game) in Apple’s Appstore and, I assume, an equal amount for Android :) I’ve tried a few in the past and they’re decent.

At least it’s better than nothing.

Ain’t technology wonderful ?

That’s the ephemeral nature of, er, pop culture.

They still sell tension wrap.

Don’t worry, there are plenty of bubble wrap manufacturers who’ll still make the classing popping kind.

Bubble wrap to me is like nails on the chalk board.

Noooo…you know what’s fun to do? Like when you have huge bubble wrap, you lay down on the edge of it, grab hold of said edge then you roll yourself into it. Most of the bubbles don’t actually pop this way, but it’s all comfy in there.

Funny thing is, this type had been around a long time, just not from the first company to produce bubble wrap. Plenty of cheaper brands make this packing material, so fret not.
