Canadians: do you really all sing "Log Driver's Waltz" at noon on Canada Day?

Log Driver’s Waltz

This is a claim by a normally trustworthy Canadian FB friend, but I think she’s putting me on this time.

Well, Canada is a very big country. I would certainly say that most of us pause and sing The Log Driver’s Waltz, hands over hearts. In northern Ontario, however, they sing The Blackfly Song. In fact, they always sing The Blackfly Song, even when it snows.

Somebody, somewhere in Canada will be singing The Hockey Song.

And if we’re having a particularly tetchy Canada Day, we sing In the War of 1812.

Lol, no. I love that song, but it’s not a rule to sing it at certain times or anything.

I never heard of this song before, but it stands to reason that a log driver would be a great dancer!
