How are jellies spending summer and who is still active?

Nothing really notable has happened. A couple of intelligent jellies just joined. Some questions about same-sex marriage became hot when same-sex marriage was allowed. Also news from Greek is being discussed now and again. The chatroom is sometimes packed with people but mostly it’s empty. Auggie made a brief return and generally filled the collective with joy.

And I still swim around and bust spammers.

Hi @Mimishu1995 great to see you. I am disappointed I missed auggie’s return and actual chatroom activity. I have never been able to engage it. How I am elated with the news of a growing collective.

What have I missed: online and off?
Increases in nasty, snide behavior, but then you want to miss that. More fluff than cotton candy. A few good Flutheronians were run out of the lagoon….usual Fluther.

Offline, I don’t know. What have you not seen in the news? I don’t watch it so you might be able to tell me a thing or two.

Anything new as far admin and patrol of our pool?
Well……um…..seems to be more out to lunch than anything if you go by the hijacking done of late.

Any notable or contentious topics?
Yes, notable, contentious as in prickly to most, anything that mentions God, Jesus, or faith; just go on one and oppose anyone who supports one of the three and you’ll catch up on the lurve.

I managed to tuck away enough cash during the winter that I can fuck off this summer and work on a project I have been meaning to do for years. Basically, a little OS X app that will let you stream your iTunes library to you and your friends iOS device. And yeah. Similar things have been done. But it is fun to make shit, even if others have done it better.

I will send you some questions you have missed. One of them is mine. I just want to see what jellies can find which is new to me.
I am kickin’ back this summer too. My boss passed away. He left me enough from the business to get by on for a while.
I nearly adopted a baby rabbit. I found it hunkered down in my grass.

@Unbroken you don’t need to worry too much. You have a real life to tend to and so do we. And other than the Auggie thing I don’t think you missed much. She may come back one day :)

The usual, same old same old. Daughter is in day camp for July, I’m working as usual. Still checking in a few times a day here.

I’m here, just living life as usual as well. Working on my friends ranch, managing things while they travel, tending to all the 10,000 daily do’s and trying to beat the heat. Hoping to get away for a few days soon and go visit my daughter in her new digs in the city. Just picked fresh blackberries this morning and we are going to make jam today and have champagne and guava juice cocktails tonight. :-)

I know camp was a blessing for my sister. Kids are high energy and need some direction. @jca good to see long term members still making the daily round too.

@ Coloma Guava juice!!! Yum yum esp with blackberries and champagne. Excellent taste and a great way to beat the heat.

Still hanging around, not much happenin over the Summer, but some friends and I are going to Ontario to visit Fort Henry in the next two weeks.

For most of the day I was trying to decide if the temperature display on my car topped out at 2 digits – 99° – or if that was the actual temperature. Afternoon proved 100° was possible.

All I have to say is that anyone that doubts humans are a cancer on the Earth needs to drive to the largest strip mall nearby and try to park in the shade!

@Unbroken The place is apparently haunted. Saw a vid on YT where these “ghost hunters” visited the place, and inside, not much happened, but one door did shut on its own. If I can find that one place I’ll go in, if we’re allowed. I don’t expect to see anything, but it will be fun either way. I’ll contact you if I plan a raid, lol.

Life has me very busy, but l’ve been lucky to get a breather this evening. It’s hot outside and I’m bored, so I thought I’d jump in the water and say hello.

My summer has been okay, mainly enjoying my break by staying home and doing nothing. Music composition is probably the only productive thing I’ve done, everything else is games, youtube, other internet forums, general browsing, etc.

I’m not exactly an active member anymore.

Still loitering in fluther town, the weather here is FINALLY awesome, hovering in the mid-high 70’s with cool mornings and breezy afternoons. One more round of 90ish coming then hoping we are done for good with the heat. Now the rattlesnakes are becoming more active, had to kill one a few nights ago by the barn and heard another one under the deck yesterday but can’t locate it. Walking softly and carrying a big shovel. lol
