“The left-hemispheric activation is concordant with the findings of Miller.”
Is “concordant” all right in this context? Any better suggestions?

It could be used but I suggest “consistent.”
How about ‘in line with’?
Congruous? Sorry, I’m late.
I like concordant. It’s funky and fun.
Are you trying to look smart or are you trying to convey information and have it understood? I generally feel like the simplest words should be used if you want to insure the reader understands especially if the meaning doesn’t change at all.
Then again, if you are trying to impress a reader (like a professor or someone you know to be an academic snob) use the more sophisticated word.
The better version of the term would be “in concordance” rather than concordant. Consistent would be good too.
For simplicity and achievement of purpose I think u should use consistent. -Ayodele Komolafe.
@Judi I was proof-reading a friend’s paper, but it doesn’t need to be overly impressive in its language.
@Kardamom Ah, thanks!
@all Thank you!
