What does Obama do with his campaign extra money?

I believe he raised $1 billion dollars. What becomes of the leftovers? Can he keep it? Or does it pass to the next democratic candidate?

I would like to know what any of them do with it , Democrat, Republican,NDP, conservative, I think it just goes into their parties coffers but not 100% sure on that.

He doesn’t currently have one billion under his control. But any campaign funds he has left over from the last election can be used for the elections of others or for the Democratic Congressional Camapign or the Senate Campaign.

He doesn’t get to keep it.

While candidates don’t get to keep leftovers, they certainly dole it out to fellow candidates as a favor and we have every reason to think they will expect favors in return.
