What does a fisher look like?

I just saw a mammal, smaller than an otter, bigger than a weasel, but built along the same lines, but it was a dark rich brown. It was beautiful, hopping along on my lawn. It was about 100 meters from the stream to my house. I thought fishers were dark gray.
