Are there people in your life that seem compelled to oppose you?

Sometimes it a fellow student, coworker, family members, social media user, etc. but they always seem to oppose you for no other reason than it seems like they are going against their code to agree with you on anything, even if you said the sky was blue, they will find a way not to agree. Do you have people like that in your life, real or cyber? If so, what do you believe their motivation is?
